Abbey Martin Called Out Anthony Blinken’s Double Standards

 

American politicians have the audacity to talk about Freedom of speech,interestingly they abruptly lose that zealous tone when they’re asked to respond about their own hypocrisy.During a Summit of the Americas event in Los Angeles, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was questioned by journalist Abby Martin about the killing of Al Jazeera Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi. The sad fact is,Abu Akelh,  a Palestinian journalist was not only just murdered but her funeral was attacked aswell ,without any condemnation from American or western leaders.

The world has already witnessed the Western and American hypocrisy from past two decades,  since the war in Afghanistan and its spread in the East. Continuing the tradition of double standards, the Russia and Ukraine crisis exposed it furthermore. But courageous journalists like Abbey Martin never cease to question the slumbering authorities.
