Feeling Emptiness, Sadness, Anxiousness, Worthlessness…. You Are Not Alone

Our hearts and souls gets burdened by the worries and fears of this worldly life .So much so that the Prophets with strongest their faiths , when they went through trails and tribulations, after the loss of their loved ones,  suffering and triumph, they also felt fear ,pain, suffering, sadnesses, emptiness. There are days in our lives when it’s hard to move on, seems like the dark night will never end ,the pain will never go away and we’ll be buried under this hopelessness forever.

We all have moments of panic attacks and anxiety, some of us feels the pressure on our chest and the eyes are brimmed with tears. Some choose silence and want to sit alone with their sorrows. All of these states of human feelings are acknowledged by the Quran, where life of Prophets are shared as an example for us , to show us that even the most pious souls were tested by the creator of heavens and earth.

Going through these emotions is what makes us human. No living soul is unfamiliar with that, even our Prophets faced multiple episodes of sadness. The Quran mentions the story of Prophet Yaqoob (Jacob) , when his son Prophet Yusuf ( Joseph) was separated from him, he wept until he lost his vision, and when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) experienced bouts of sadness upon the loss of his wife and uncle.

Our families, work, society, relationships, anything in our surroundings could be the cause of burden on our hearts. There are many amongst us who begin to question their creator and his wisdom, some wants the answers that why they’re facing this trial ? Some begin to disbelief , they start having doubts about his existence, claiming that we are so good,  we are always praying and trying to do the right thing, why we are still tested?

The most important thing, is to acknowledge these emotions and not disregard them, because as humans we all go through plethora of feelings in one moment and we face them each day. Many of us are burdened with wordly duties , others face mental and health problems,  some of us are in a state where we are unable to define ourselves, the secret battles that goes on inside of us.
