These Keys Are Waiting To Unlock The Doors For The Semetic Owners

This art do not need alot of words to be understood, this key has a history ,an existence and a journey till the destination, it’s a symbol of hope and a promise of return ,this heavy key has the shape similar to the ancient times ,with its long wide shaft, a single bit and a bow ,where you hold the key ,with a slight double-curve at the bottom.Perfect to create some art inside, a humble effort to draw Qubbat Al Sakhra ,the date trees, the barbed wires ,showing the illegal occupation of Palestine and Jerusalem.

This Keys is the symbol of the Palestinian “Nakba” the “disaster” the final, fateful, terrible last turning in the lock of those front doors , when 750,000 Semetic Palestinian men, women and children were thrown out of their homes illegally to create the illegal state of Israel in 1947 and 1948. You can take Palestinians out of Palestine, but you can never take Palestine out of the Palestinians, They carry it inside every fiber of their being .They eat , speak , wear and live فلسطين.

Ibrahim Tuqan,a Palestinian ,born in Nablus wrote a heartwarming and revolutionary poem “مــوطــنــي” meaning “My Homeland” ,which later became the national anthem of Iraq in 2014. In this Poem Ibrahim Tuqan praised the beauty and magnificence of his homeland, illegally occupied by European colonials, and the tireless resistance of the Palestinians, who refuse to give up, until they return, and use these keys they’re taking with themselves everywhere, with a promise of return to unlock the doors of their homes on their own lands .

“My homeland, my homeland

Glory and beauty, sublimity and splendor

Are in your hills, are in your hills

Life and deliverance, pleasure and hope

Are in your air, are in your air

Will I see you? Will I see you?

Safely comforted and victoriously honored

Safely comforted and victoriously honored

Will I see you in your eminence?

Reaching to the stars, reaching to the stars

My homeland, my homeland

My homeland, my homeland

The youth will not tire, ’till your independence

Or they die, Or they die

We will drink from death, and will not be to our enemies

Like slaves, like slaves

We do not want, we do not want

An eternal humiliation, nor a miserable life

An eternal humiliation, nor a miserable life

We do not want, but we will bring back

Our storied glory, Our storied glory

My homeland, my homeland

My homeland, my homeland

The sword and the pen, not the talk nor the quarrel

Are our symbols, Are our symbols

Our glory and our covenant, and a faithful duty

Moves us, moves us

Our glory, Our glory

Is an honorable cause, and a waving flag

Is an honorable cause, and a waving flag

O, behold you, in your eminence

Victorious over your enemies, victorious over your enemies

My homeland, my homeland” ~ Ibrahim Tuqan
